Description/ Field Marks: Typically very dark, blackish. The only member of the walsinghami group with blue-gray scaling in the interfascial spot and in the ocellus. Similar Species: Epiblema iowana McDunnough, 1935 lacks the blue-gray scaling found in coracinana. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: coracinana Wright & Gilligan, 2023 (Epiblema)   Type locality: Holotype: Pennsylvania, Allegheny County, Oak Station, F. Marloff. Taxonomic Notes: Epiblema coracinana Wright & Gilligan, 2023, n. sp. (new since Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023).
