Similar Species:
  • Pelochrista palabundana - upper Midwest (Wright & Gilligan 2017:58).
  • Pelochrista rosaocellana - central Great Plains (Wright & Gilligan 2017:58).

Synonymy:
  • salaciana (Blanchard & Knudson, 1981) (Eucosma)
      Type locality: Holotype: "North Padre Island, Nueces Co., Texas.".
  • Taxonomic Notes: Pelochrista salaciana (Blanchard & Knudson, 1981) n. sp., J. Lepid. Soc. 35: 173-178, was formerly placed in the genus Eucosma (Gilligan et al., 2013).
