Description/
Field Marks:
Mean FWL - 7.9 mm (Gilligan & Wright, 2013). Forewing lacks a mid-costal dark patch.
Similar Species:
  • Pelochrista consobrinana (Heinrich, 1923) is smaller and typically has a forewing with a mid-costal dark patch.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
Synonymy: Eucosma costastriata Wright, 2011
Taxonomic Notes: Pelochrista costastriata (Wright, 2011), n. sp., Jour. Lepid. Soc. 65(2): 114, was formerly placed in the genus Eucosma, Gilligan et al. (2013), Zootaxa, 3746(2): 301-337.
