Genitalia: E. dorsisignatana - dark median fascia is disjunct from both subterminal fascia and subbasal fascia.E. similiana - dark subbasal fascia connects with median fascia.E. oraria - dark median fascia reaches apex and is disjunct from subbasal fascia; larger than both dorsisignatana and similiana. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: similiana (Clemens, 1860) (Poecilochroma) confluana (Kearfott, 1905) (Eucosma) engelana (Kearfott, 1908) (Eucosma) similana (Fernald, 1882) (Poecilochroma) missp. Taxonomic Notes: Pelochrista similiana (Clemens, 1860) is elevated from subsp. of 3116 Eucosma dorsisignatana. This species was formerly placed in the genus Eucosma, Gilligan et al. (2013), Zootaxa, 3746(2): 301-337.
