Larva and Host Plants: Grindelia squarrosa Similar Species: Pelochrista cataclystiana has FW termen which lacks a well defined sinuate black line. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: grindeliana (Busck, 1906) (Cydia) - MONA 1983: 3002 stramineana of authors; (not Walsingham, 1879) (Semasia) misid. Taxonomic Notes: Eucosma grindeliana: Formerly placed in the genus Phaneta, Gilligan et al. (2013), Zootaxa, 3746(2): 301-337.
