Distribution: Type locality (segregata): USA, "California, Tulare Co., Monachee Meadows".
Holotype (castrensis): Camp Roosevelt, Yellowstone National Park, WY.
Similar Species:

Synonymy: Thiodia segregata Heinrich, 1924
Thiodia castrensis McDunnough, 1929
Taxonomic Notes: Eucosma segregata (Heinrich, 1924), formerly placed in the genus Phaneta, Gilligan et al. (2013), Zootaxa, 3746(2): 301-337, includes as a synonym Thiodia castrensis McDunnough, 1929 (Wright & Gilligan 2015:42).
