Taxonomic: Notes Barbara colfaxiana (Kearfott, 1907) is apparently a western species represented by the BIN group BOLD:AAF3527 at BOLD. An eastern population represented by BOLD:AAF3526 is believed to refer to an undescribed species, but is included here pending further study.
Synonymy:
  • colfaxiana (Kearfott, 1907) (Evetria) - MONA 1983: 2903; Holotype: Colfax, Placer Co., CA.
  • coloradensis (Heinrich, 1920) (Evetria); Holotype: Mount Manitou, CO.
    Note: described as a variety of colfaxiana Kearfott.
  • taxifoliella (Busck, 1914) (Evetria); Holotype: "Montana, Missoula".
  • Host Plants: Host familiy: Pinaceae.  Host genera: Abies Larix Picea Pseudotsuga.  Notes: cones (Keen 1958).  (Shropshire & Tallamy 2025 [accessed 6xii2025])
