Distribution: Introduced from Europe. Long Island, NY. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Phalaena hartigiana Ratzeburg, 1840 • Cymolomia faillana Fuchs, 1903 Taxonomic Notes: Cymolomia hartigiana (Ratzeburg, 1840) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico. This species is likely a recent introduction to Long Island, NY, McGuinness & Brown (2017), Proc. Entom. Soc. Wash., 119(4): 667-669.
