Taxonomic Notes: Bactra albipuncta Heinrich, 1926, originally described as a variety of Bactra verutana Zeller, 1876, was raised to full species status by Diakonoff (1964), a changed apparently overlooked by some subsequent authors but recognized by Gilligan & Brown (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
