Taxonomic Notes: "Aramos" masoni (Schaus, 1892) is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico from Texas in Blanchard & Knudson (1985). This species was transferred to the genus Psychonoctua in Blanchard & Knudson (1985) and then to Aramos in Schoorl (1990:125). In synonymizing Aramos with Brypoctia, Yakovlev, et al. (2019:408) excluded masoni from both Brypoctia and Psychonoctua leaving it's placement undetermined.
