Distribution: MD south to FL and west to TX. Larva and Host Plants: Thistle: Cirsium horridulum, C. nuttallii, C. spinisissimum. Description/ Field Marks: See Heppner (2023), Lepid. Novae, 15(3-4): 123; fig. 2-8, F1, M1. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: carduiella (Kearfott, 1902) (Choreutis) - MONA 1983: 2649   Type locality: Anglesea, [Cape May Co.], New Jersey. busckiella (Kearfott, 1902) (Choreutis)   Type locality: Hastings, [St. Johns Co.], Florida. carduella (Meyrick, 1913) (Choreutis) emend. Taxonomic Notes: Pseudotebenna carduiella (Kearfott, 1902), n. comb. (Heppner 2023), was formerly in the genus Tebenna.
