Distribution: Type locality: "Northern Oregon... Eureka, in Humbolt County, Califormnia".

Host Plants:
Orthocarpus sp. (Walsingham 1880); Castilleja (affinis or medocinensis) (Powell & Opler 2009).
Description/
Field Marks:
Forward wing: 2.3-4.6 mm (Powell & Opler 2009).
Similar Species:
  • Schreckensteinia erythriella (Clemens, 1860) is an eastern species.

Synonymy: Chrysocorys felicella Walsingham, 1880
