Distribution: Eastern Canada and northeastern US. Western population may refer to Z. arizonica.Type locality: Wenonah, NJ. Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Pinaceae.  Host genera: Pinus Pseudotsuga.  Notes: needle miner (Freeman 1960); mines pine needles (Eiseman 2020).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Description/ Field Marks: Wingspan: ~12 mm. Similar Species: 36a0127 Zelleria arizonica: is larger, wingspan: 16-17.5 mm. Size may not be diagnostic. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: haimbachi Busck, 1915 (Zelleria) - MONA 1983: 2427; TL: Wenonah, NJ.
