Field Marks:
It may be that case that piniariella is restricted to the Palearctic, with NA specimens identified as this species referring to strobivorum Freeman.
Similar Species:
  • Ocnerostoma strobivorum Freeman, 1961 may not be seperable by genitalia but is separated by DNA barcode.
