Taxonomic Notes: Atteva aurea (Fitch, 1856) includes as a synonym Atteva punctella of authors; (not Stoll, 1782); A. floridana is returned to synonymy of aurea, ZooKeys, 46: 41-60.
(Atteva punctella, a species not found north of Central America, is a homonym of Phalaena punctella Linnaeus, 1761, and is replaced by pustulella (Fabricius), ZooKeys, 46: 41-60)
