Similar Species:
  • 2310 Dichomeris inversella lacks a dark mid costal mark. Dissection may be required. See Hodges (1986) but illustrations do not seem consistent with the description and BOLD data does not seem to support ranges given. The DNA tested specimen below by Mark Dreiling is in a BIN group with specimens identified as both species but but all have the costal mark and the BIN is well separated from BINs containing specimens which match Hodges' description of inversella.
