Similar Species: As of 1/1/2021, H. zesticopa is the only described species in the genus found in North America and is apparently represented by BIN Group ACL2105 at BOLD. Two other BINs, AAG0033 and AAM8615, appear to refer to cryptic species. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Taxonomic Notes: Hypatima sp. 2 is an undescribed species represented at BOLD by BIN BOLD:AAG0033.
