Distribution: Canada: YT. Larva and Host Plants: Dryas octopetala (Rosaceae) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: gelidella Nordmann, 1941 (Sophronia)   Type locality: Finland. Taxonomic Notes: Sophronia gelidella Nordmann, 1941 is now recognized within the North American fauna north of Mexico, Zootaxa, 3749(1): 39; Zootaxa, 2231: 40.
