Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Pinaceae.  Host genera: Pinus Pseudotsuga.  Notes: in cones (Keen 1958); fruits (Robinson et al 2002).  (Shropshire & Douglas 2025) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. Synonymy: periculella (Busck, 1910) (Gelechia) - MONA 1983: 2105 Taxonomic Notes: Gelechia periculella Busck, 1910 is a member of the "abella-complex” in Hodges (1999).
