Synonymy: emancipata (Meyrick, 1925) (Phthorimaea) mispl.   Type locality: Kentucky. marmorella (Chambers, 1875) (Gelechia) mispl.; preocc. Taxonomic Notes: Gnorimoschema emancipata (Meyrick, 1925), provisional placement by Lee & Landry (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023), is a replacement name for Gelechia marmorella Chambers, 1875, a junior primary homonym of Gelechia marmorella Doubleday, 1859. This replacement was missed in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) (Klaus Sattler, pers. comm.; 2018).
