Larva and Host Plants: Host familiy: Asteraceae.  Host genera: Bigelowia Ericameria.  Notes: make galls (Powell & Opler 2009); older host plantrecords of Acamptopappus sphaerocephalus & Isocoma menziesii[=Isocoma veneta] need confirming, does not list Bigelowia (Powell & Opler 2009).  (Shropshire & Tallamy 2025 [accessed 6xii2025]) Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species.
