Synonymy: grisseochrella (Chambers, 1875) (Gelechia) ident. uncert. griseochrella (Busck, 1903) (Gelechia) missp. Taxonomic Notes: Gelechia grisseochrella Chambers, 1875 corrects the spelling of griseochrella in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). This species is listed as "ident. uncertain" in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist); provisional generic assignment follows Lee et al. (2009).
