Distribution: Canada: QC, PE, NS, NL; USA: MS, LA, RI. Larva and Host Plants: Myrica (bayberry). Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Taxonomic Notes: Neotelphusa n. sp. is an undescribed Myricaceae-feeding species. It is possible that this is the species historically treated as Neotelphusa sequax (Haworth, 1828), see Zeller (1873), a feeder of Helianthemum which is native to Europe.
