  • Taxonomic Notes: Coleophora sparsipulvella Chambers, 1875 was originally described under the name "sparsipulrella", a possible lapsus calami (slip of the pen) which the author corrected without comment in later works. The name sparsipulvella is here retained as the vaid name with sparsipulrella as an original misspelling pending clarification of the application of ICZN Code. This species includes as a synonym Coleophora sparsiatomella McDunnough, 1941 (Landry in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
