Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Tinea tiliella Schrank, 1801 Taxonomic Notes: Coleophora bernoulliella (Goeze, 1783) is now recognized within the North American fauna (Landry in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023). This European species was apparently introduced in North America and variously misidentified as other species in the genus, J-F Landry (pers. comm., 12/14/2019). DNA barcoded specimens reported from RI in 2019.
