Distribution: Eastern US and Canada. Description/ Field Marks: See BOLD BINs in References. P. fidella may be a species complex; "true" fidella is likely represented by BIN AAD5152 and/or AAG8600 - Jean-François Landry (pers. comm., 11/29/2021). Warning: examination of genitalia is typically required for species level identification of specimens in all genera of this family. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: fidella (Dietz, 1900) (Ploiophora) - MONA 1983: 1227; TL: Hazleton, PA.
