Similar Species: |
- U. s. sagittarius, the western subspecies (left, above), looks so different from normal U. s. satyricus from the east that it may be difficult to recognize. However, the genitalia and barcodes are the same and where their ranges overlap along the Front Range of the Rockies (Alberta, Montana, Wyoming) they blend together nicely. ~ DL

Taxonomic Notes: |
Ufeus hulstii Smith, 1908 and U. electra Smith, 1908 were formerly treated as synonyms of 11052 U. plicatus in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist). Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010) elevated electra to full species with hulstii as its synonym. Lafontaine & Schmidt (2011) synonymized electra with 11051 U. satyricus Grote, 1873 and elevated hulstii to full species. |
