Synonymy: elimata (Guenée, 1852) (Noctua) - MONA 1983: 10967   Type locality: Georgia. grisatra (Smith, 1907) (Semiophora)   Type locality: Lakehurst, NJ. Taxonomic Notes: Xestia elimata (Guenée, 1852), n. comb. (Lafontaine 1998), was formerly placed in the genus Anomogyna.
