Similar Species:
  • Ulolonche dilecta (Edwards, 1885) tends to have a smooth look, not rough or mottled with more distinct am. pattern as typical disticha. Dissection required; DNA barcode is apparently not definitive.
  • Ulolonche fasciata Smith, [1888] has a smooth medial line. Dissection required; DNA barcode is apparently not definitive.
  • Cryptic, possibly undescribed species represented at BOLD by BINs BOLD:ABZ0725, BOLD:ABZ0723, and BOLD:ADG1993.
