Distribution: Edwards Plateau of west-central Texas to southern Mexico - Lafontaine et. al. (2014). Description/ Field Marks: See ZooKeys, 421: 139-179. Genitalia: See ZooKeys, 421: 139-179. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: texicana (Lafontaine, 2014) (Protorthodes) N. COMB.   Type locality: Concan, Uvalde Co., TX. Taxonomic Notes: Trichopolia texicana (Lafontaine, 2014), n. comb., was formerly in the genus Protorthodes (n. syn. of Trichopolia) (Schmidt in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
