Synonymy: |
fidelis (Grote, 1874) (Himella)intractata (Morrison, 1875) (Taeniocampa) Type locality: Missouri. |
Taxonomic Notes: |
Kocakina fidelis (Grote, 1874), formerly in the genus Himella Grote, 1874, a junior homonym of Himella Dallas 1852, is transferred to Kocakina (Özdikmen & Seven, 2006) (replacement name), a genus which includes as a synonym Orthimella (Schmidt & Lafontaine, 2018) (unnecessary replacement name).
This name was synonymized with Himella intractata (Morrison, 1874) in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist) which regarded the publication year of fidelis to be 1875. The synonymy was reversed in Poole (1989) - Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010), ZooKeys, 40:154. |
