Distribution: Holotype: Oneco, Manatee Co., FL.. Genitalia: See Adams (2001). Similar Species: Leucania dorsalis has HW fuscous - Adams (2001). Leucania elephas has FW with "darker, more contrasting white and brown scales on the cubital vein" than in dorsalis - Troubridge (2020). Leucania februalis is found in CA. Leucania infatuans has FW with yellow tint and HW with white ground color - Adams (2001). Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
