Distribution: Canada: BC; USA: TX west to CA and north to WA and ID.
Type locality: near Alpine, Brewster Co., TX.
Similar Species:
  • Lacinipolia buscki is sympatric though out the range of strigicollis and is apparently best separated by DNA barcode. Dissection may not be conclusive. Selman (1975) found no differences in genitalia and treated the two species as synonyms.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
