Similar Species:
  • Lacinipolia bucketti is apparently not distinguished from L. o. petita by DNA sequencing.

Taxonomic Notes: Lacinipolia olivacea (Morrison, 1875) includes Mamestra repentina Morrison, 1875, a name which was apparently overlooked in Hodges et al. (1983) but included in Poole (1989), as a synonym (Schmidt in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
