Distribution: Open habitats in the Southwest, California, and Pacific Northwest, BC, WA, OR, CA AZ, NM, ZooKeys, 788: 167-181. Genitalia: ZooKeys, 788: 167-181; figs. 11 & 12 (♂ - gen.), 15 (♀ - gen.) Similar Species: 10269 Admetovis oxymorus hindwing in is light tan, not pure white as in similaris. 10269.1 Admetovis icarus hindwing is dark brown gray. Best separated from others in the genus by hindwing or genitalia, ZooKeys, 788: 167-181. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: similaris Barnes, 1904 (Admetovis) - MONA 1983: 10270 similis Barnes, in: Dyar, 1903 (Admetovis) Taxonomic Notes: Admetovis similaris Barnes, 1904 - The genus Admetovis was transferred from the tribe Orthosiini to the Hadenini, ZooKeys, 788: 167-181.
