      Type locality: California.
  • sala (Mustelin, 2006) (Oncocnemis)
      Type locality: Mountain Pass Station, San Bernardino Co., CA.
  • Taxonomic Notes: Sympistis aqualis (Grote, 1881), n. comb. (Troubridge 2008), was formerly treated as a subspecies of Sympistis riparia (Morrison, 1875) in the genus Oncocnemis. Includes as a synonym sala (Mustelin, 2006) (Troubridge 2008).
