Distribution: Washington - Oregon, East slope of Cascade Mtns. to Northwestern Nevada.  Elevations ~ 2,600 - 5,600 ft. Seasonality and Size: September.  Wingspan ~ 28-36 mm. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: amenthes Troubridge, 2008 (Sympistis) - MONA 1983: [NEW in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023)]; Holotype: "USA: Washington, Douglas Co., Corbaley Cyn., 2600’.". Taxonomic Notes: Sympistis amenthes Troubridge, 2008, n. sp., Zootaxa, 1903:1-95.
