  • Leucania dorsalis has HW fuscous - Adams (2001).
  • Leucania elephas has FW with "darker, more contrasting white and brown scales on the cubital vein" than in dorsalis - Troubridge (2020).
  • Leucania februalis is found in CA.
  • Leucania infatuans has FW with yellow tint and HW with white ground color - Adams (2001).
