  • Photedes enervata typically has less narrow wings, more heavily marked terminal line and lighter hindwings.

Synonymy: Senta defecta Grote, 1874
Taxonomic Notes: "Photedes" defecta: Formerly placed in the genera Chortodes and Hypocoena, placement in the genus Photedes is provisional in Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010), ZooKeys, 40: 150.
