Synonymy: • Acronycta hamamelis Guenée, 1852 • Apatela guyasuta Chermock & Chermock, 1940 • Acronycta subochrea Grote, 1874 Taxonomic Notes: Acronicta hamamelis (Guenée, 1852) includes as a synonym Acronicta subochrea (Grote, 1874) [9248] in Forbes (1954), overlooked syn. in Hodges et al. (1983) (Checklist), corrected by Rings et al. (1992).
