Type locality: Jalapa, Mexico.

Taxonomic Notes: Arctioptera cavillator (Walker, 1856) is transferred from the genus Lichnoptera to Arctioptera Anweiler & Schmidt 2020, n. gen., and includes as a synonym 9187 Lichnoptera decora (Morrison, 1875) in Schmidt & Anweiler (2020), MONA Fascicle 25.4: 21.
