| Distribution: |
South-central Montana to Oregon, southward to border areas of New Mexico to California. Dry forest clearings, desert canyons, riparian and reef areas. Elevations ~ 2,900-7,600 ft. |
| Seasonality: |
April - August. Two generations in some locations. Wingspan ~ 20-26 mm. |
| Description: |
Dark area of forewing nearly uniformly brown. Few scales of a different color. Reniform less prominent than in A. areli and geminocula No dark pupil. Orbicular nearly obsolete. Forewing basal area nearly white in both sexes. |
