  • Taxonomic Notes: "Afrida" exegens Dyar, 1922 is now recognized in North American fauna north of Mexico in Ferguson & Opler (2006) with records from AZ and TX. This species is treated as in misplaced in the genus Afrida by Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010), ZooKeys. 40: 130. It belongs to a related genus and awaits revision. The genus Afrida was formerly assigned to the subfamily Arctiinae in Erebidae; current treatment follows Schmidt (in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) 2023).
