Distribution: NC to GA and west to TX and then northward in the Mississippi Valley to MS in open savanna and mesic woodland habitats. Description/ Field Marks: See ZooKeys, 39: 91. Genitalia: See ZooKeys, 39: 85-97. Similar Species: 8726.1 Gondysia telma cannot be separated without DNA or dissection. Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Ophiusa smithii Guenée, 1852 Taxonomic Notes: Gondysia smithii was formerly placed in the genera Dysgonia and Neadysgonia, ZooKeys, 149: 103-106.
