Holotype: Tierrasanta, San Diego, CA.
Similar Species:
  • Hypenopsis macula (Druce, 1891) is not found in Southwest but possible overlap in southern TX.
  • Hypenopsis calusa Landry & Landry, 2023) is not found in Southwest but does extend to southernmost TX.
  • Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.)
