Distribution: Southern Wyoming south to border. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: ambigua Strecker 1878 (Halesidota) - MONA 1983: 8218 bolteri Edwards 1884 (Seirarctia) Taxonomic Notes: Pseudohemihyalea ambigua (Strecker, 1878) is transferred from genus Aemilia by Schmidt (2009).
