Distribution: USA: CA, ID, UT, CO, AZ. Type locality (citra): western Colorado. Type locality (apachea): Phantom Ranch, Grand Canyon, AZ. Type locality (verna): Three Rivers, Tulare Co., CA. Type locality (midas): Eureka, UT. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: • Arachnis citra Neumögen & Dyar, 1893 • Arachnis apachea Clarke, 1941 • Arachnis verna Barnes & McDunnough, 1918 • Arachnis midas Barnes & Lindsey, 1921 Taxonomic Notes: Arachnis citra Neumoegen & Dyar, 1893, originally described as a variety of 8152 Arachnis picta, is treated here as a full species following Lafontaine & Schmidt (2010). It includes as a synonym Arachnis apachea [8153] in Schmidt & Opler (2008).
