Synonymy: speciosa (Möschler, 1864) (Arctia) ssp. a. speciosa (Möschler, 1864) (Arctia) ssp. b. celineata (Schmidt, 2009) (Grammia) Taxonomic Notes: Apantesis speciosa (Möschler, 1864) was a subsp. of 8175 Grammia virguncula. This species was formerly in the genus Grammia, Systematic Entomology: 41(4): 844-853.
