Synonymy: crata (Druce, 1893) (Nipteria) STRAY - MONA 1983: [NEW in Pohl & Nanz (eds.) (2023)]; TL: Panama, Chiriqu. Taxonomic Notes: Nephodia crata Druce, 1893 is recognized within the North American fauna, one specimen collected 10/22/1976 by D.S.Bogar from Brownsville, TX, det. C. Covell. The record is likely a stray.
