Distribution: Eastern US and Canada with specimens identified from photos from AB and BC. Similar Species: Pinned specimens of related species. (Hint: select View by Region on the related species page.) Synonymy: fritillaria (Guenée, [1858]) (Numeria) - MONA 1983: 6812   Type locality: USA. disconventa (Walker, 1860) (Tephrosia)   Type locality: Lectotype: Trenton Falls, New York, USA; Nova Scotia, Canada. immersata (Walker, 1862) (Ypsipetes)   Type locality: St. Martin’s Falls, Albany River, Hud- son’s Bay [Ontario, Canada]; New York [USA]; East Florida [USA]. lactispargaria (Walker, 1861) (Cidaria)   Type locality: Sixteen Island Lake [Quebec, Canada?]. Taxonomic Notes: Homochlodes fritillaria (Guenée, [1858]) includes as synonym Homochlodes lactispargaria (Walker, 1861) and Homochlodes disconventa (Walker, 1860) (Matson & Mcguinness 2023).
